Active Leaders of Tomorrow (Alot) Youth Programs

Why A.L.O.T.
Working in conjunction with various partnerships such as the WA Department of Fish and Wildlife, US Environmental Protection Agency, youth are educated on tobacco and environmental issues by these specialists and through field trainings such as visits to state laboratories and beach sampling. Through many action-oriented projects centered on these public and social issues, youth feel a sense of purpose, mission, and ownership. Furthermore, they are trained to effectively convey that information out to the members of the community businesses in-writing and in-person. Their positive voice in the community helps dispel negative stereotypes of teenagers. More importantly, youth gain respect as young leaders in their individual communities.

This program offers:
• After School Homework Assistance
• Monday & Tuesday 4-6 pm
• MRFFG Environment Protection
• Teens Against Tobacco Use
• Community Service
• Educational Field Trips
• Multimedia Skills
• Scientific Lab Work

Started in 1996, our goal is to empower youth with the skills and experience necessary in becoming active leaders in their community. Here, youth find a safe place to cultivate their person-hood in a community of peer and adult mentors and through valuable hands-on activities for teens to serve the community through creativity and various mediums.
