Why KWA Adult Day Care?
Asian Pacific Senior Day Care is a comprehensive approach program for the Alzheimers, Dementia, and frail elders to be supervised and receive structured activities to help enhance their daily physical health, and, to help keep them positive. Our program is for every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Fridays of every week, at 10am to 3pm. Clients receive special care and the program is language and cultural appropriate. This is a wonderful program for the elders. Many family members attend the day care with their elders to volunteer and help out. Without this day care program, these clients would be at home alone and be isolated, they can wander around the neighborhood due to memory loss, and can be in danger to themselves due to memory loss and lack of language capacity. The APSDC has been nationally recognized as one of the most outstanding programs for ethnic based senior day care centers..
Social Services Include:
• Daily Supervision
• Snacks & Lunch
• Education & Skills Development Activities (reading, arts, crafts, dancing and singing)
• Therapeutic Exercises (walks, rolling a ball, stretching, etc.)
• Interactive Games
• Peer Mentoring
• Health Promotion Screenings
• Information and Referrals
Daily Schedule:
Monday through Friday • 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Participation Fees: Senior participants are asked to contribute according to a sliding fee scale, based on ability to pay. Daily fee is as low as $5 to $28 per day. There are Financial Programs such as Respite/ Copes which can be free of charge to those who qualify.
