In-Home Care Services

The KWA In-Home Care senior services provide excellent quality and great care for the elderly. KWA's dedication to the in-home senior care services enables our elders to live with independence and dignity.

With a professional staff, volunteers, and collaboration with other organizations, the Korean Women's Association provides services designed to meet the needs of seniors and their families.

In-Home Care services are state and federally funded programs that provide household and personal care services to enable seniors to remain at home.

In-Home Care: Copes Personal Care

COPES, or Community Options Program Entry System, provides help for seniors to stay in their homes.

Based on their income, clients may pay a portion of the cost of services, and then State and federal funds provide the balance of the money.

KWA Copes Personal Care program provides the following:

• Skin, hair, nail, oral hygiene, and denture care
• Assistance with ambulation, dressing, eating, and bathing
• Preparation of food, laundry, and housekeeping
• Transportation and escort to medical services
• Protective supervision
• Assistance with telephoning, writing, or other daily living activities, etc.

In-Home Care: Medicaid Personal Care

KWA Medicaid Personal Care Services provides seniors with help for the activities of daily living in residential and home settings.

Medicaid Personal services is for the Medicaid eligible adults who need assistance with personal care and household tasks to maintain their health and independence.

KWA Medicaid Personal Care Services provides the following:
• Assistance with care of hair, teeth, denture, shaving, and other basic personal hygiene or grooming needs
• Assistance with dressing, eating, bathing, ambulation, etc.
• Assistance with shopping
• Accompanying or transporting the client to medical services
• Meal preparation, laundry, and housekeeping
• Registered nurse monitoring

KWA assists our elders in making and carrying out choices that maximize their independence and quality of life.

KWA Chore Services provides the following:

In-Home Care: Respite Services

The Korean Women's Association Respite Care Services provide in-home supervision, companionship, and personal care by our friendly and compassionate Home Care Aides. The purpose of the KWA's Respite program is to provide a short term relief for the family caregiver from the daily routine of caregiving for the older adult, with Alzheimer's Disease, irreversible dementia, or other disabilities.

Respite care can range from as little as two hours to around the clock services, and KWA also provides emergency respite care if an unexpected family emergency occurs. With the KWA Respite services, you can take a break with a peace of mind knowing that your loved one is being cared for in the same warm and loving way you would care for them.

KWA also provides services to the private pay respite clients. .

In-Home Care: Developmental Disability Services

KWA DD services provide support and services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The purpose of the DD program is to assist individuals with developmental disabilities to live their lives to the fullest extent, and also to promote everyday activities, routines, and relationships common to most people. KWA uses state and federal funds to provide these services to eligible persons based on individual preference, capabilities, and needs.

This program is for all the age groups.
