KWA Citizenship Program

Becoming a United States citizen is a very important personal decision. When you become a U.S. citizen, you gain unique rights and privileges such as the right to vote, run for public office, have a U.S. passport, and the U.S. government's protection when abroad. Also, you can file to bring your close family members to live in the U.S. as legal permanent residents. When you become a U.S. citizen, you cannot be subject to deportation, even if you commit a crime. If you wish to live outside of the U.S., you can do so without losing your citizenship. As a citizen, you can also protect yourself from changes that target non-citizens.
