Basic Food Education and Outreach (BFEO) Program
Korean Women's Association began BFEO program in 1999 in Pierce County, 2000 in South King County and 2006 in Snohomish County to serve the community by offering benefits and assistance to its residents.
KWA has 6 full-time and one part-time Hispanic BFEO outreach workers serving in Pierce, King and Snohomish counties.
You may be able to get Basic Food Assistance if you:
| - Have little or no income |
- Are with or without children |
| - Have no permanent home |
- Own your own home |
| - Are self-employed |
- Are a student working 20 hrs per week |
| - Are not working |
- Are working full or part time |
| - Receive public assistance |
- Have limited money |
If you need emergency food assistance, you may be able to get same day service.

NOTE: If you are receiving Basic Food benefits, you must tell us by the tenth day of the month after any of the following changes take place:
> You move
> Someone who receives food benefits with you must meet work requirements under WAC 388-444-030 and their hours at work go below 20 hours per week
> Your total gross monthly income goes over the mentioned limits
